IT Systems Support Engineer

We have an exciting vacancy for an IT Systems Support Engineer to work within our Technology team based in Soho.

The IT team plays a vital role to deliver and support the increasingly complex technological service that is demanded.  As well as having responsibility for both the business and post production IT systems and infrastructure, the department works closely with the Engineering team in supporting the daily technical workflow for major film and television productions. The successful candidate will work to deliver technical development and optimum technical efficiency on our post production, infrastructure and business technology systems across our London Sites.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Include:

IT Help Desk

  • Investigating and solving client queries

  • Updating and installing software

  • Testing and validation of software

 Infrastructure Support

  • Installation and administration of network equipment such as switches

  • Admin of VMware ESXi vSphere cluster for company servers

  • Managing backups and replications of servers using Veeam

 Software Support – General

  • Installations

  • Management of Windows server operating systems

  • Administration

  • Maintenance – Remote Desktop and Azure two factor authentication

 Hardware Support – General

  • Installing new equipment such as PCs, monitors, switches, servers and phones

  • Identifying hardware faults on above equipment and repairing them when economic to do so

  • Documenting installs with drawings and department documents


 About You

  • Strong experience of working in a similar role

  • Demonstrable experience in an IT Support or operational support role

  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, GPO, TCP/IP, VLAN

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and AD

  • Ability to assemble, upgrade, troubleshoot and physically maintain workstations and severs

  • Experience with installation, maintenance and operation of Windows & Mac OSX operating systems

  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise workload. Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

  • Have a keen interest in IT and willing to learn and develop new skills

Drama Sales Executive

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in sales and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. You will be an integral member of the Commercial team, and will make a valuable and visible contribution to the commercial development for the Drama market.

 About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Identify business, optimise commercial and sales opportunities within the Drama market that deliver year-on-year profitable growth. This includes identifying new business opportunities from the company’s target markets and contacting prospects to gain a commitment to deliver business to the company

  • Working with potential and existing clients to develop productive working relationships in order to promote the company’s brand and service offering, understand and quantify their requirements and budgets, and sell the features and benefits of post producing at the company

  • Preparing proposals and quotations for provision of the company’s services in a professional manner and negotiating with clients to secure profitable business for the company

  • Liaise with Operations, Bookings and Creative staff to ensure correct specification and resourcing of projects and prospective business is met. Managing detailed handover of projects to the Post Producers and maintaining sufficient involvement in the project during delivery as to be able to facilitate continuing productive relationships with the client and other stakeholders and to assist the Bookings department in achieving these aims

  • Achievement of personal revenue targets as agreed with the Commercial Director


Person Specification

  • Considerable experience of the post-production market, good knowledge of current workflows and technologies with a demonstrable track record of success and a comprehensive production company contact list including their staff, in both drama and factual genres

  • Experience in Sales within a business and the ability to achieve agreed targets

The Role

As part of the Client Services Team, the Receptionist will be responsible for the delivery of an excellent customer-focused service to Molinare’s clients, visitors and employees. The Receptionist is responsible for attending to visitors and dealing with enquiries on the phone and face to face. 

 About You

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Greet all people entering the building. Notify the relevant department/individual of their arrival and ensure they are escorted to the correct destination.

  • Answer the telephone, screen and direct calls. Take and relay messages and provide information to callers in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Maintain the visitor book and be aware of staff and client movements throughout the building.

  • Administer the security card and key systems.

  • Deal professionally and politely with queries from the public and customers.

  • Undertake general administrative and clerical support, including preparing notices, letters and documents.

  • Manage the meeting rooms, scheduling the rooms for meetings as requested and ensuring they are prepared as needed and suitable hospitality is provided when necessary.

  • Manage the petty cash system and prepare accurate daily reports

  • Update the scheduling system and carry out any reporting or administration tasks required by the Management or Post Production Managers.

  • Ensure the reception area is tidy, stocked and presentable. 

  • Fulfill any other tasks or duties that may be required from time to time.

Runners (ongoing)

We are always on the lookout for keen and enthusiastic runners for our client services team. The runners are responsible for supporting the Client Services Coordinator and Deputies in providing an outstanding hospitality service to Molinare’s clients. The jobholder will ensure a friendly and efficient service is provided to Molinare’s clients, visitors and employees, whilst ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the facility.  

The Role

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Making and handing out teas, coffees, snacks, lunches and dinners

  • Contribute to the cleaning and tidying of the facility

  • Monitor stock levels within the fridges and cupboards ensuring that everything is stocked

  • Setting up rooms and suites prior to new clients arriving

  • Looking after guests, and accompanying clients and visitors to suites and between locations

  • Distributing post to the staff and clients

  • Assisting the engineering and buildings teams with equipment movement and setup

  • Purchasing items for clients and staff while handling petty cash and completing the associated paperwork

  • Delivering tapes and drives to and from our dispatch department and other companies

  • Covering reception duties (including, but not limited to, answering the phones; greeting clients; arranging meeting rooms and refreshments for clients; handling petty cash and associated paperwork)

  • Being trained for working on the on-site client/staff bar

  • Photocopying and undertaking other administrative requests

  • Ensuring Client Services are utilised as efficiently as possible and wastage of stock and resources is kept to a minimum.

I joined Molinare in 2017 as part of the running team after completing my studies in Music Technology. During this period I took the opportunity to shadow the audio team as much as I could. I quickly gravitated towards Dialogue Editing, and before long I was given the opportunity to help the Dialogue team between my running shifts.

After 6 months I was promoted to Trainee Dialogue Editor, where I received amazing training from both the Drama and Factual departments. Over the past year, I have been assisting and working solo on projects in my current role as Junior Dialogue Editor. I am incredibly proud to have worked on high-end dramas such as BAFTA winning Patrick Melrose, Bodyguard and The Durrells.

Molinare has given me so many opportunities to develop myself and learn from a team of highly experienced and supportive industry professionals - I count myself very lucky to be surrounded by the best in the business.

Louisa Kearns, Dialogue Editor joined Molinare in 2017 as a runner

I had the opportunity at the end of my studies to do work experience at Molinare for a week. After this week, I was offered a runner position, and I jumped at this chance with both hands. I had set my sights on becoming an Assistant Re-Recording Mixer, because of my background in music production.

Molinare has given me the encouragement and time to make my move from Belgium to London. During the 18 months of being part of the Client Service team, I shadowed the audio team to learn as much as possible. Since October 2018 I’ve been assisting the BAFTA-winning George Foulgham on top-level theatrical feature documentaries and TV documentaries. It’s been amazing to be able to learn from- and work alongside - the best of the best in the industry.
