MOLINARE AND HACKENBACKER NOMINATED AT 56TH ANNUAL CAS AWARDS
The Cinema Audio Society has announced the nominees for the 56th annual CAS Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing.
In the 'Television Series (1 hour)' category, Hackenbacker's Nigel Heath and Brad Rees have been nominated for their Re-Recording work on the series finale of Peaky Blinders series five. Oliver Brierley and Ciaran Smith were also nominated for ADR and Foley mixing respectively. Nigel comments, "We had a blast mixing with director Anthony Byrne on this incredible show, although we only worked on the last two episodes we all really enjoyed being a part of the 'Peaky Blinders' world this year and it's a genuine honour to be nominated for such a prestigious award".
The show was mixed in Hackenbacker's Studio One at the company's Bateman Street HQ.
Molinare's James Gregory has been nominated in the 'Television Series (30 minutes)' category for his fine work in the second series of Fleabag. Elsewhere, Molinare's Head of Broadcast Factual Sound Greg Gettens - who has recently picked up the RTS and Broadcast TECH awards for his brilliant work on Married to a Paedophile - has been nominated for his work on David Bowie: Finding Fame, in the 'Television Non-Fiction, Variety or Music Series or Specials' category.
The CAS Awards will be presented on 25th January at the Wilshire Grand Ballroom of the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.
