Molinare at the MPS - discussing HDR with Netflix and the Loudness of Sound

The Media Production Show, an annual event showcasing the best talent and technology in the creative sector, returns in June and will feature the thoughts of two of Molinare’s finest.

Our CTO Richard Wilding is one of the panellist on a Netflix hosted seminar discussing the progress of HDR content creation, Creating Dolby Vision HDR Content with Netflix. As a facility Molinare was one of the first to embrace the opportunities of HDR and invest in the infrastructure and workflows. Being one of the key people behind this, Richard will have some unique insights on what it means and the challenges it brings, not just to post houses but to the wider industry. Wednesday 13th June 12noon.

Also, our RTS award winning Head of Factual Sound, Greg Gettens, will be taking part in one of the Sound panels, entitled The Loudness War Rages On. Chaired by the mixer and AMPS vice-chair Andrew Wilson, the panel will discuss the issue of partially extreme loudness, what is behind it and why don’t they just make 10 louder and turn it up to 10? Wednesday 13th June 11am.

The Media Production Show will take place at Olympia on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th June.
