Molinare Supports Sheffield Doc/Fest
For longer than we care to remember, the Molinare team have travelled North as ardent supporters of Sheffield Doc/Fest and the talented documentary filmmakers that congregate there from around the globe. This year we’re back and are delighted to announce that we will once again be sponsoring and hosting an event, at the 25th edition of the festival.
We welcome you to raise a glass or two to the brilliant directors and producers behind this year's Film Programme at our ‘Meet The Filmmakers Drinks’. Share stories, share a drink, and share the rest of your week with the industries finest storytellers. The event is open to all pass holders and will be taking place at Birdhouse, Saturday 9th June from 7.30pm, do let us know if you will be attending.
We are honoured to have worked with some of the industry’s best filmmakers over the years, and this year we can proudly say that we have played a big part in bringing three high-profile documentary films to Sheffield Doc/Fest’s screens.
Director Tim Wardle’s ‘Three Identical Strangers’ is a gripping group portrait of the famous triplets reunited at 19 and breaks fresh ground in uncovering why they were separated in the first place.
Lightbox and Ed Perkins’ ‘Black Sheep’ – (one of just 6 films to be nominated for the Sheffield Doc/Fest Short Doc Award) tells the story young Cornelius Walker and the lengths he is willing to go to survive.
The Scottish Documentary Institute’s ‘Time Trial’ – Directed by Finlay Pretsell follows cyclist David Millar triumphant last hurrah: a thirteenth run at the Tour de France. An immersive film, not to be missed!
We look forward to seeing you there!
