Head of Grading

Molinare Soho020 7478 7000enquiries@molinare.co.uk

Gareth is one of the most sought-after colourists in the industry and has worked on some of the highest rated drama productions in the UK including Doctor Who, The Durrells and the award-winning Killing Eve and Bodyguard. In 2018 he was also nominated for an RTS award for his grade on the BBC Two adaptation of King Lear.

Throughout his career, Gareth has kept firmly across the constantly emerging new technologies in post-production and with an almost geek-like interest, he has pioneered the use of innovations in equipment, dailies look-up tables, workflows and colour science. He takes the stress out of the ever-changing technologies and allows the focus of his grading sessions to be firmly on bringing the vision of his client to the screen. He is passionate about all aspects of grading, from the lightest of touches accentuating the subtle emotions of a narrative to creating memorable 'looks' for a period piece or unique genre project.

As well as being in constant demand for TV drama, Gareth has also been responsible for the grades on an impressive range of features including the Oscar winning The King’s Speech, Dad’s Army and Blinded by the Light, which premiered at Sundance.

Gareth's film credits range across Where Hands Touch, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, the Oscar winning The King's Speech and the 2016 Palme d'Or winning I, Daniel Blake.
